Bracebridge Heath Pre-school has been established as a registered charity in the village for over 30 years. During 2008 we moved to our new home in the grounds of St John’s Primary School and are Ofsted Registered. Our latest inspection report in 2015 was OUTSTANDING in all areas.
Inside we have a spacious room equipped with age appropriate toys and activities including the home corner, messy play and construction toys. Our separate quiet room provides a space for the children to enjoy books and ICT.
We are very proud of our fully-enclosed outside space. Here, the children have the opportunity to explore and express themselves in a safe and stimulating environment. Boys and girls can ride bikes on the safety surface, have fun in the playhouse, as well as develop more physical skills on their fantastic fort. Our woodland obstacle course which open ended play opportunities. The children also have their own vegetable garden where they enjoy planting and eating the produce. Our sensory Garden allows children to explore the natural world and the water pump.
Children attending afternoon sessions bring a healthy packed lunch. Eating together provides learning opportunities such as social development and also helps children prepare for the lunch time experience at primary school.
