Dear parents/carers,

We hope you all enjoyed the half term break. Here is an update for spring term. We would like to thank everyone who made a donation for the Marie Curie Cancer Care potted daffodils the children planted; we raised £44.00

Curriculum

Our theme for this term is ‘space and planets’ we will be continuing with this from last term. Our children have also been particularly interested in trains/transport; so we will be carrying out activities involving this , and as always we will follow the children’ s points of interest as starting points for activities. We will be also including the following events:

St David’s day-(Sunday March 1st) , Mothers day-(Sunday March 15th), St Patricks day (Tuesday 17th March), Easter (Friday 3rd April- Monday 4th April), and St Georges day (Thursday 23rd April) and Fathers day (Sunday 21st June).

If there are any events we have missed, or any that are special to you and your family, that we’ve not included, please let us know! Thank you.

We will also be planting potatoes and various seeds. If you have any donations of bedding plants, vegetables, seeds/seedlings, we would appreciate these. We would also ask that you save cardboard toilet rolls/kitchen rolls, for Easter activities please. Please pass on to any member of staff.

Other events

  • The photographers “Red apple” will be coming to preschool on Thursday 16th April- all children are welcome to have their photo taken. If your child does not attend a session that day, we ask that you can bring your child, but you must stay with them. The photographer will be here all that day- if you don’t want your child to take part, or have any queries, please see Mrs Lynn or Mrs Wilson.
  • We welcome parents/carers contribution, and ask if you wish to “stay and play” or help out in any way please speak to staff. We also are looking for volunteers to help us during lunchtime. If you can help please see a member of staff.
  • We will be having a key person evening on Wednesday 11th This will be mainly aimed for our new children who started after Christmas. Of course you are welcome to speak to your child’s key person at any time- if you need to make an appointment to speak to your child’s key person, please see them and we will endeavour to help you. Details of this evening are to follow nearer the date.
